About the Band

New Beginnings

The original duo, “Koko & Pan”, formed on Yule 2014 when Pan (aka Jimmy) and Koko (aka Arne) were discussing the need for a band to add entertainment to their Coven’s gatherings.

For those who don't know, a Coven is a group of like-minded people that come together to create spiritual community.

That night, they decided to start making music together, and quickly forged a robust relationship, complete with catalog of Pagan traditional music, modern contemporary pop and rock songs, as well as their own respective original songs.

Hitting The Stage

Before long, “Koko & Pan” began performing live in concert, making appearances at various venues and events, such as the notable “Rock-2-Adopt” animal rescue fundraiser, a well-attended annual animal rescue benefit, as well as at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson, NJ.

As a duo, “Koko & Pan” experienced instant connection, rapid growth and quick popularity within their community.

New Blood

Fast forward one year later to 2015…

Oberik (Erich) comes into the picture.

Erich was no stranger to “Koko & Pan”, as he was a fan of the band, but also a part of same spiritual community, so he quickly and easily integrated as the band’s percussionist.

Koko, Pan, & Oberik

The trio was now formed, so the group's name was updated to “Koko, Pan, & Oberik”, and they immediately began preparing for their first show together, which happened to be a very high profile headlining show with artists Veronica Kole and Carl Martin at B.B. King Blues, New York, NY.

A Class Act

Since then, “Koko, Pan, & Oberik” have made four annual appearances at the event “Rock 2 Adopt” (2016-2020), they’ve worked in the studio creating music videos for artist Carl Martin, and performing numerous tri-state Pagan Pride events.

A Temporary Change

In 2017, band member Koko went on temporary sabbatical from musical activities due to a medical condition he was dealing with.

Despite this, “Pan and Oberik” remained active with performing, recording, and collaborating amongst themselves, but also with other artists in their community.

Reunion

In 2019, Koko (Arne) came back into the fold after recovering from his ailments, and the reunion was a wonderful homecoming for the band and especially Koko, who was enthusiastic about returning to performance and collaboration.

In 2020, “Koko, Pan, & Oberik” will return to the stage for “Rock 2 Adopt”, and they will also make other scheduled appearances to be announced through the year.
